Basic Steps to obtain an insurance license in your state of residence….
Step 1– EXAM FX pre-licensing training website: www.examfx.com
See INSURANCE…
Choose:   Life AND Health Insurance

• Life & Health…Select your study package…read the options, choose your best option
• Enroll 
• Select An Exam: “New Student” “Insurance Courses” “Life and Health Insurance” 
• Select Your Location (i.e. your state of residence) 
• Select Your Package: 

1. Live Online Study Package
2. Video Study Package
3. Self Study Package 
4. Optional: ‘Added Learning Features’ (Select the Add-ons you want, prices vary)

• Set Up Your Account – ‘Accept’ to continue the registration process… (the question it asks as to your affiliation does not apply to our company. You will be an “individual”)

Step 2 – Pearson Vue www.pearsonvue.com

• You should receive a confirmation email which will tell you to go to this website.  Download the applicable “Insurance Licensing Candidate Handbook” according to your state of residence. It is typically in pdf format.
• Procedures and information on testing sites, how to make your reservation for the exam, what to bring, and suggestions to prepare you for the exam are included.
• Once you finish the training portion and are ready to apply for and take your exam, be sure you choose the exam for “your state” Life and Health Agent - not just Life Insurance by itself. 
• Note: the exact title of the exam and other documentation will possibly vary according  to your state of residence.

Step 3 - Sircon (Vertafore) www.sircon.com       (Vertafore I Sircon Solutions)

• Choose ‘Apply for a License’
• Select ‘Individual’
• Once you submit the application online you will receive an email with further instructions.
• Print the information given, keep track of the forms you will need.

Step 4– (Your Residence) State Department of Insurance    i.e. your state
By the time you are at this point, you should receive information giving you the next steps to take.
